Personalised career mapping, aptitude assessments, college guidance, and scholarship discovery β built around a student's strengths, not just their marks.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of students pass their board exams β and then simply don't know what to do next. They lack informed guidance on what careers suit their aptitude, which colleges are accessible on their marks and budget, and which scholarships exist that they could actually apply for.
Career Compass is Teaching India's structured 6β12 month guidance program for students who have just cleared (or are about to clear) Class XII. Through a series of one-on-one sessions with trained career counsellors and industry mentors, each student builds a personalised career roadmap that is grounded in reality β not just aspiration.
We cover aptitude assessment, stream and course selection, college shortlisting, entrance exam preparation strategy, scholarship applications, and support through the admission process itself. We don't just advise β we walk alongside every student until they're enrolled and settled.
Structured aptitude assessments and facilitated conversations to identify genuine interests, strengths, and learning styles. We help students understand who they are before they decide what to become.
Realistic shortlisting of colleges, courses, and entrance exams based on marks, geography, family constraints, and career goals. We also cover government college options, open universities, and polytechnics.
End-to-end support in identifying and applying for scholarships β government, corporate, and NGO β that our students are eligible for. Many eligible students never apply simply because they don't know what exists.
Help with college applications, entrance exam preparation strategy, statement of purpose writing, and staying on top of deadlines. We stay with each student until they receive their first admission offer.
Aptitude assessment, career interest interview, and an honest conversation about the student's family situation, constraints, and aspirations. We build a clear picture before we advise.
A personalised Career Roadmap document: courses to consider, colleges to target, scholarships to apply for, and a month-by-month plan from now to admission.
Monthly check-ins and on-demand support through applications, entrance exams, and the admission process. We celebrate when they get in β and troubleshoot if they don't.
I had no idea so many scholarships existed. My counsellor found three I was eligible for β I applied to all three and received one that covers my entire first year.
Everyone in my family thought I should do a diploma and start working. Career Compass helped me realise I could get into a government college with my marks. I'm now in my second year of B.Com.
My aptitude test showed I was much stronger in design thinking than technical subjects. My counsellor recommended courses I'd never heard of. I'm now studying UI/UX design online.
I had a 68% in boards and thought my options were limited. Teaching India's counsellor showed me a college I could get into, a course I'd love, and a scholarship to pay for it.
We're looking for career counsellors, HR professionals, and anyone who has navigated higher education and wants to share that experience with a student who needs it.
